Tubbercurry nestles at the foot of the Ox Mountains. It remains unspoilt and some of the best traditions of Irish culture are preserved here. There is tennis, fishing, walking and climbing. Ten miles (16 km) west of Tubbercurry the road skirts the northern shore of Lough Talt. This lake is beautifully situated high among the Ox Mountains and provides good brown trout fishing.
