Rosslare is a well-known seaside resort 11 miles (18 km) south-east of Wexford. Its wide bay is fringed by a 6-mile (10 km) arc of firm sand and shingle, with safe bathing at all stages of the tide. Golf (18). Five miles (8 km) south of Rosslare is Rosslare Harbour, terminus of car ferries from Fishgurad and Le Harve, Cherbourg and Pembroke.
